1. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

2.HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO DRIVE A RENTAL VEHICLE?
The minimum to rent in Skopelos with The Local Route is 21 years of age and held license for a minimum of 1 year.
3.WHAT PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION (ID) / DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME WHEN COLLECTING THE VEHICLE?
You should have your driving license with you at the start of the rental. For scooters and motorbikes up to 125cc, Greek law requires an EU driver’s license A1 or a motorcycle driver’s license for non-EU countries. For vehicles over 125cc, an. EU A or A2 license and a full motorcycle license are required for drivers from countries outside the EU. You must have issued it at least one year before renting. Also your police ID or your passport.You will also need a credit card – as a guarantee even if at the end of the rental you choose to pay in cash.

4.WHEN IS AN ADDITIONAL DAY CHARGED ?
All rentals are charged based on the checkout time. After 10.30 a.m you will charge 1 extra day.
5. CAN SOMEONE ELSE OTHER THAN MYSELF DRIVE THE VEHICLE ?
Yes, but the additional driver must be listed on the rental contract. The second driver must also provide their valid driving license for inspection before becoming a named driver on the rental and this can be done at The Local Route location throughout the rental period. A fee applies for the additional driver.
6.WHAT IF I WANT TO EXTEND THE LENGTH OF MY RENTAL ?

7.CAN I RENT A CAR WITHOUT CREDIT CARD ?
If you are not a credit card holder, The Local Route also accepts debit cards. To find out if your debit card is acceptable, please contact us.
8.CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL COVERAGE TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF LIABILITY ?
The rental price includes the basic cover. You can buy additional covers if necessary. Just ask us now or at the start of the rental. Some general cover information is provided on the page of the Terms & Conditions.
9.WHY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REPLY TO MY EMAILS?
We do auto reply 5-10min after your booking. If you haven’t received any reply to your emails during this time please check your “spam” or “junk” folder too.
The e-mails remain in this folder for up to 7 days and then are automatically deleted by your email provider.
10.IS MY PAYMENT SECURE?
Yes. By using our secure online payment system, your payment information is encrypted, you are secured against fraud.
11.WHEN I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?
The money will be blocked throughout your rental. When you drop the car off, as long as there is no new damage or other issues, the car hire company will cancel the pre-authorization.
In this situation, the deposit hasn’t actually been charged to your card, so you won’t see a refund coming through on your statement. The only difference is that once the deposit is released, that amount will be available for you to spend as part of your credit limit.
It usually takes a few working days – but it can take up to 15 working days – for a credit card company to process the release.
It often takes 15 working days from when you dropped off the car for the deposit to be returned or unblocked. After 15 working days, contact your bank or credit card company for more information if you can’t see the money back in your bank account, or available on your credit card statement.
